Downhill Passion (“the app”, “we”) is a mobile app for following UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup racing. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The app has no user accounts and does not ask you for personal information.
Your preferences — followed riders, language, filters and settings — are stored only on your device and are never sent to us. They are removed when you uninstall the app.
To show results and standings, the app requests data from our API. These requests include standard technical information such as your IP address (inherent to any internet request) and an identifier of the app version and platform. We do not use this to identify you personally and we do not build user profiles.
The app displays ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect and process information including device and advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad-interaction data. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through Google’s consent dialog before any personalized ads are shown. On iOS we also request permission via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can review or change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy in the app.
Where consent is required, personalized advertising relies on your consent. Operating the app and serving non-personalized ads rely on our legitimate interest in providing and funding the service.
The app is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We do not maintain personal accounts or profiles. Transient server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation. On-device data stays on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app.
Under the GDPR you have rights to access, rectification and erasure of personal data. As we hold no account data about you, most control is exercised directly on your device and through the ad-consent controls above. For any request, contact us.
